Water

I asked my friend Taryn The Dragon for a writing prompt a few days ago and she suggested “Water” as the subject.

When I read or listen to people describe themselves or their moods as a type of water, they use descriptions that would lead you to believe that they are calm. I, on the other hand am never just calm. When I see myself as water I see a very wide rushing river that has a strong current that violently crashes into and over top of anything in its path. I am loud and intense when I speak. I am strong willed and I will not stop working on a project until I feel it is done for the moment.
I am a soft current playing atop the small stones in the river bed dancing and leaping like a child that is whispering “Notice Me!” as I reach for you and pull away from you like a tall weed swaying in the wind.
